The flight from Istanbul was approaching Tunis-Carthage International Airport in Tunisia when bad weather turned the routine landing into a nightmare.
Passengers screamed in terror when the plane “started to plummet” after the pilot failed to land the aircraft a number of times.
Marina Maiskaya shared video from Thursday to Instagram which showed the passengers gripping their seats as the aircraft shakes.
Terror rippled through the cabin as the plane looped in the sky for a third time, awaiting its chance to attempt another touch down.

Marina said the flight itself was smooth but things turned terrifying as soon as they made their initial decent.
She said: “I have never in my life feared for my life like that.
“We were shaken violently each time, and on the third attempt, we actually started to plummet.”
The aircraft was ultimately force to divert to Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport, about 60 miles south of Tunis.

Relived passengers clapped the pilot when the flight landed safely.
More and more, airplane passengers are capturing terrifying footage of extreme turbulence.
In early August at least 12 people were injured after an Air India flight suddenly took at 300ft plunge.
Cracks appeared in the cabin ceiling after the plane took a nosedive just 90 minutes after departing from Thailand.
The plane was carrying 134 people when it went downwards unexpectedly, leaving 10 passengers and two crew members wounded.
The jet departed from Phuket en route to Delhi, India, when it was rocked by severe turbulence.
Many passengers were reportedly asleep at the time of the horror drop.
The aircraft managed to land safely at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
