A Meath GAA club has unveiled a stunning new mural on their club grounds, depicting the heart and passion within the club.
Kiltale Hurling and Camogie Club unveiled the new mural on their hurling wall on Friday.
“We were delighted to be able to bring this idea to life with funding from ChangeX South Meath Solar, and we couldn’t be happier with the finished result,” the club stated.
“A huge thank you to our amazingly talented artist Anna Byrne, who took our ideas and transformed the wall into such a vibrant celebration of hurling, camogie, biodiversity and our Kiltale community.”
The club noted that similar to other projects ran locally, there were important people behind the scenes that helped to make it happen.
“A special thank you to Kristian Harris and JLD Access Ltd for supplying the scaffolding, JLD Access Ltd; Colm Punch for painting the undercoat and preparing the canvas for Anna; and Ivan Purcell and Stephen McCormack for power-washing and preparing the wall beforehand,” the club said.
“It takes funding to make projects like this possible, but it also takes people willing to give their time, skills and support — and we’re very fortunate to have that in Kiltale,” they praised.
The club thanked all involved in bringing the mural to fruition.
“We hope this mural will brighten our grounds and welcome players, families, visitors and our wider community to Kiltale for many years to come,” they finished.
