NOBEL MENDY was forced off against Chelsea following a horror clash of heads with Joao Pedro.
The Hull full-back, 22, had collided with the Blues striker as they pair were contesting a ball at the far post.
Mendy hit the deck immediately, with goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis quickly calling for help from the medics.
There was some concern for defender as laid on the turf surrounded by his team-mates.
The Senegal international, signed from Rayo Vallecano this summer, was able to stand after treatment.
But he was replaced by Lucas Herrington in the 59th minute of the game.
Mendy had to be helped by two medics as he walked around the pitch and down the tunnel, holding his head.
The Tigers were winning 2-1 at Stamford Bridge at the time of the incident after Mohamed Belloumi’s brace had cancelled out Morgan Rogers’ early opener.
But Chelsea did get their equaliser through Joao Pedro moments after Mendy went off to make it 2-2 with 25 minutes left to play.
Mendy joined Hull for a club-record fee of around £21million.
