CHARLTON boss Nathan Jones has found himself discussing volleying cats for the second time in three days as he vowed to take a bullet for his dog.
It comes after the Welshman claimed a linesman looked at him like he had “volleyed his cat” after protesting an offside that denied his team a goal on Wednesday night.
Charlton‘s goalless draw with London rivals Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday sparked talk of feline attacks and it seems to have continued.
Ahead of his team’s clash with Portsmouth at The Valley this afternoon, Jones said: “First and foremost I’d like to clarify that I’ve never volleyed a cat, I’m an animal lover.
“I have a dog myself, some days it takes me 10-15 minutes to leave the house because I’m trying to get a fly out so he doesn’t die.
“That’s genuine, that’s the honest truth and I have OCD and I’m a massive animal lover.

“So at no point have I ever volleyed a cat.”
He later added: “I would take a bullet for my dog, I love my dog. My dog is one of the greatest things on this planet.
“So I’m not just a lover, that is like a daughter to me that dog and I would genuinely take a bullet.”
Jones finished his bizarre point saying: “I hope I don’t have to and prove that theory but I would take a bullet for my dog.”
