Watch live as 9/11 victims are remembered in a special event held in London 25 years on from the September 11 attacks on Friday.
A special event is being held at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to commemorate the anniversary of the terror attack on the Twin Towers in New York.
On September 11, 2001, 2,988 people were killed when hijackers crashed three planes into the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Virginia.
A fourth hijacked plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after passengers fought back against the hijackers.
An event to honour the victims will take place at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at 11am.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham has paid tribute to the nearly 3,000 people killed, including 67 Britons.
Writing on X this morning, Mr Burnham said his thoughts are with those who lost friends and family members.
He said: “Time may pass, but I know the grief is still felt just as deeply today.
“On this anniversary, we must remember that hatred and fear did not have the last word on 9/11. The terrorists sought to weaken and divide America, and everyone who believes in the values our countries share. But our response was clear: those who seek to destroy our way of life will never win.”
