A TWIN who allegedly brutally stabbed her mum to death with the help of her sister has been released after serving just half of her sentence.
Tasmiyah Whitehead, 33, was freed from prison early after spending 16 years behind bars for the 2010 murder of her mother Jarmecca.

She and her sister Jasmiyah, who later earned the nickname “Twisted Twins”, were both 16 at the time of the killing.
The pair confessed to stabbing their mum, also known as Nikki, between 50 and 80 times during a fight at their Rockdale County home.
They were sentenced to 30 years behind bars each and put in different Georgia jails.
But last month on August 5, Tasmiyah was freed from Pulaski State Prison, according to jail records viewed by The New York Post.

She was released as part of a plea deal that reduced a murder charge to voluntary manslaughter, reports say.
Tasmiyah’s original sentence had been broken down into three chunks: 20 years for the manslaughter charge, five for possession of a knife during a crime, and another five for false statements to the government.
She served 16 years in total including the time spent in pre-trial detention.
The judge was blasted by the twins’ grandma – who said the 30 year sentence too short.

She said in 2014: “You offer someone 30 years with parole?
“It is like she is not important, she is the victim, it is like no one is concerned with what happened to her.”
Tasmiyah had been eligible for parole since 2017, but served an additional nine years before the parole board granted her eligibility, reports say.
Jasmiyah must wait until May 2028 for parole – even though she took the same plea deal as her sibling.
The murder took place in 2010, when the sisters started living with their mum again.
They had been separated from their mother as they had become too violent for Nikki to handle.
But after all living together for just one week, a fight broke out one day when the children woke up late for school.
The twins claimed their mum threatened them with a cooking pot before they tackled her down, sparking a brawl.
Tasmiyah told investigators she hit her mum in the head with a pot during the bust-up, before taking a knife and stabbing her.
The knife attack allegedly came moments after their mum bit Jasmiyah.
The sister told police: “She bit me in the chest and like I said, I’m not that big, so when she bit me she latched on to me and I tried to get her off because it hurts so I’m trying to punch her, I guess that then Tas stabs her. She stabbed her.”
The twins continued stabbing and hitting their mum before dragging her body into the bathroom and dumping her in the bathtub.
They submerged her body in water.
Nikki was still alive when her body was being moved to the bathtub, cops said.
The twins went to school as if nothing had happened right after, but police were called when they got back home.
When cops found Nikki’s body – they initially treated the twins as victims who had just returned from school.
The home was described as “the bloodiest scene I think I’ve ever been to” by cops.
The twins initially played innocent, distracting investigators from clues such as wounds and bite marks they endured during the fight.
It took four months until police finally arrested them as their web of lies unravelled.

The girls initially pleaded not guilty to the murder charge before accepting the plea deals in 2014.
