The man, wearing a blue button-down shirt, was attempting to board the train at Agra Cantt Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh, India.
But the journey almost ended in disaster when he suddenly lost his footing at around 9:35pm local time on September 8.
One of his feet plunged towards the ground as he became trapped in the moving carriage and the platform.
Horrifying footage shows the train continuing along the platform as the stricken passenger is dragged beside it.

GRP inspector Sandeep Tomar said the passenger’s life was saved by the alertness and courage of police personnel and fellow travellers who immediately sprang into action.
