A BRITISH health chain with over 700 sites is set to close down a popular branch in days.
Local fans of the wellness store have until just Monday to say their goodbyes before it shuts for good.
Holland & Barrett in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire , is set to close on September 14, Gazette has reported.
The news has sparked concern from Ashley Smith, the chair of Thornbury Town and District Residents Association, who described the move as a “shame”.
“It is another empty shop.
“The street is dying and nothing palpable is being done. More and more houses being built, with less and less infrastructure,” he told the outlet.

It will come as a blow to locals in the scenic market town who have had to wave goodbye to a number of popular brands in recent years.
That includes Lloyds bank, which shut a branch earlier this year along with a PDSA charity shop.
As for Holland & Barrett, the chain already shut a branches in Dorset and Pontefract earlier this month.
A spokesperson told Gazette the closures are part of an “ongoing £70 million investment into transforming stores”.

That also includes opening and renovating more than 200 new locations nationwide.
They continued: “Our programme includes a mix of new store openings, refurbishments, relocations, lease expiries and closures, with decisions focused on ensuring we are operating from the right locations to best serve customers both in-store and online.”
