A BBC Breakfast radio presenter is reportedly “set to quit” her show just weeks after her co-stars exit.
The 41-year-old joined Today, Radio 4’s flagship news and current affairs programme back in 2024.
Now, Emma Barnett is said to be walking away from the show just weeks after her co-host Amol Rajan.
Emma’s stint on the show is one of the shortest ever with her colleagues telling The i Paper that she’s expected to leave very soon.
The radio star won’t be going far as it’s believed she’ll be staying at Beeb.
Emma has reportedly been in “long discussions” with BBC bosses over potentially hosting a new current affairs podcast.

Her work pals told the publication that she’s “excited to move on to her next chapter.”
The BBC is yet to release an official statement on the reports of Emma quitting the show.
Amol made his departure at the start of this month after more than a 1,000 hours on air.
His replacement is still yet to be announced.

Signing off the show for his last time, Amol told listeners: “After more than 1,000 hours, hundreds of pips, a few crashes, it is time to say goodbye.
“It has been such an honour sitting in this studio with you, Emma, with all the presenters but above all, with the amazing team behind the glass.
“I wanted to say thanks above all for your friendship and forbearance. I hope you know how seriously we take your time and trust.”
He added: “To the incredible producers on Today and across BBC News, to all my incredible, heroic colleagues who are here today, over the past decade, in fact, you are the best in the business, and we are so incredibly lucky to know you.”
While Amol is continuing to work for the Beeb, fronting University Challenge and the Radical podcast, he’s launching his own company in the “creator economy.”
Before setting up shop on Today, Emma was the main presenter on BBC’s Woman’s Hour from January 2021 to April 2024.
She’s previously worked across BBC Newsnight, Radio 5 Live and LBC.
