Wild moment dog almost gets crushed running onto track mid-race at Epsom

THIS is the wild moment a dog almost got crushed running onto the track mid-race at Epsom.

It was a miracle the four-legged fiend appeared unhurt after darting out underneath the 500kg thoroughbred.

The bizarre incident happened approximately two furlongs from home in the 2pm contest at the Derby venue on Thursday.

The stewards’ report read: “An enquiry was held to consider the circumstances surrounding why a dog appeared on the track, approximately two furlongs out.

“The Clerk of the Course was interviewed.

“After hearing his evidence, a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.”
