DONALD Trump has revealed when the Iran war will end – as the regime fired new electro-optical missiles at US warships for the first time.
The high-tech rockets were used on American vessels near the Strait of Hormuz in Tehran’s latest push against Washington’s forces in the region.

Iran said it struck two US warships and eight oil tankers on Wednesday, as well as a military base in Jordan.
The air assaults came in response to Washington blitzing five Iranian oil tankers, according to Iranian officials.
US Central Command (Centcom) said its attacks were retaliation for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) striking US navy ships.
Tehran claimed they used cutting-edge electro-optical missiles in their latest salvo, The Telegraph reported.

These rockets harness advanced technology including cameras and light sensors to precisely view and track targets.
Touting a half-ton warhead, the weapons are designed for accurate layer-penetrating strikes rather than sheer explosive force.
They were unveiled in May 2025 – but it is still unclear if these were the exact missiles used in the strikes.
Centcom said all attempted attacks on US forces on Wednesday had failed.

Last week, Tehran said it had tested a “special anti-destroyer” missile for the first time over a US warship in the region.
They said the blitz was part of a new frontier in Iran‘s approach to the war.
The latest strikes from Tehran came just hours before Trump announced when the spiralling war will finally come to a close.
The US president said the conflict was likely to go on until after November’s midterm elections.

He said: “I think the war’s going to end immediately after the election because they can’t hold out any longer.”
Trump argued the short-term economic pain from spiking oil prices was worth his operation preventing Tehran from developing nukes.
“Right after the election, oil prices are going to be tumbling downward,” Trump said.
“I think it’s going to take a little bit longer than the midterm.”
He added Iran was “desperate to try and affect the election”.
President Trump also said during a speech in Texas that oil prices would fall “as soon as we win the war with Iran”.
It comes after a recent surge in tit-for-tat strikes between Washington and Tehran in recent days.
Oil facilities and tankers have been struck, sparking fuel price rises.
The brent crude benchmark hit $100 a barrel on Wednesday – the highest since July.
One day before the US hit five oil tankers with ties to Iran, the Houthi rebels in Yemen struck targets in Saudi Arabia, sparking huge fires at oil facilities.
