A BRAND new Penguin bar has launched in supermarkets for just 70p ahead of the festive period.
Shoppers are flocking to stores to p-p-p-pick up a Penguin – saying it’s a “need” this Christmas.
Taking on the form of the iconic Penguin that appears on the biscuit bars, the festive treat is made from creamy milk chocolate.
Inside, find a chocolatey cream filling and small crunchy pieces of Penguin biscuit.
Currently available at Morrisons, the chocolatey treats are retailing at £1.
On the Morrisons website, however, the item is currently on offer, costing just 70p when ordered by December 24.

McVitie’s fans have flocked online to show their excitement at the new festive sweet treat.
“Need!” wrote one shopper.
“These look good! Like [malteser] reindeer but [with] biscuit pieces in,” agreed another.
However, many shoppers have also voiced queries about the new penguin product owing to a previous ingredient change in the classic bars.

“Is it actual chocolate or the stuff they use to coat the bars now,” wrote one user.
“‘Chocolate flavoured coating’ doesn’t have the same ring.”
McVitie’s Penguin biscuit bars are no longer classed as “chocolate”, but instead a “chocolate flavour”, following a reduction in the amount of cocoa present in the product.
Owner Pladis was forced to find cheaper alternatives after climate issues saw a price hike in the main ingredient; chocolate.
According to the ingredient list and full product name of the new Christmas Penguin, it is “Milk Chocolate with Cocoa Flavoured Filling and Biscuit Pieces”.
The Christmas Penguins form part of McVitie’s biggest ever festive range, which includes three further Christmas treats that the biscuit brand unveiled earlier this year.
Sweet-toothed shoppers can also find the new Tasties Festive Selection, including 33 biscuits across nine varieties, and the Victoria Classic Selection, a much-loved luxury assortment of nine irresistible biscuit varieties.
For those who love a Digestive, the cupboard staple has seen a festive spin, with the warming Gingerbread Flavour Milk Chocolate Digestives returning for a third consecutive year.
