GARDENERS’ World host Monty Don already has a new job after quitting the BBC show — modelling £250 trainers.
The 71-year-old, who is leaving after 23 years, is the face of a new range of New Balance shoes.

The sportswear giant has teamed up with jewellery brand Bleue Burnham to bring out two designs.
Monty is seen wearing them while standing on a table and a ladder, and while lying on a bench.
New Balance said the link-up with the TV host follows the launch of the Flimby Garden, created by Bleue Burnham at the sports firm’s factory in Flimby, Cumbria.
The Bleue Burnham shoes, in brown pigskin suede, go on sale tomorrow. They will also come out later in black leather.

A New Balance spokesperson said: “The collaboration follows the launch of The Flimby Garden.
“A permanent garden curated by Bleue Burnham for the people behind the New Balance Made In UK at its factory in Flimby, Cumbria.
“Created as a dedicated space for rest, reflection and connection, the garden brought New Balance’s manufacturing heritage with Burnham’s distinctive creative language and longstanding relationship with the natural world.”
Revealing his departure on Tuesday, Monty said he hoped to work on other BBC projects while “following new avenues”.

Discussing the decision, Monty said: “I have decided that the current series of Gardeners’ World is to be my last.
“I began hosting the programme 23 years ago, first at Berryfields and for the past 16 years here in my own garden, Longmeadow.
“Throughout that time – and around seven hundred programmes – I have had the privilege of sharing my own abiding passion for gardens and gardening with an equally passionate, and often equally knowledgeable audience.
