BRITS will enjoy some warmer weather this weekend after a chilly start to September.
A number of locations are set to see highs of 24C on Saturday afternoon before rain arrives next week.

September has started with cold, rainy and cloudy conditions, with lows of 7C recorded in certain parts of the country this morning.
This weekend, however, is set to see a number of areas across the South, including London, the East of England and Oxford, enjoy temperatures as high as 24C.
Before the warmer conditions return, rain is forecast to move in from the west today, with brisk winds and downpours anticipated in northern England and Wales.
The rain is expected to clear by tomorrow, with the Met Office telling Brits that “Friday looks fine with sunny spells” and that people in the south will be “feeling pleasantly warm”.

On Saturday, large parts of the north of England and Scotland will be hit with a band of rain, followed by sunshine and showers.
By 4pm, however, a large number of areas will be experiencing 24C temperatures, including London, Cambridge, Oxford and Taunton.

The same warmer 24C temperatures are also forecast to return to the London area at the same time on Sunday, with areas such as Birmingham, Sheffield and Leeds expecting to record highs of 20C.
Monday will even see even larger parts of the country enjoying the hot weather, with London, Reading and Cambridge all recording 25C highs.

However, according to the Met Office, this brief spell of warmer weather is only temporary, with the end of September and the beginning of October welcoming more “changeable” conditions.
This includes a “greater chance of rain or showers”, with temperatures anticipated to be “a little above average overall” .
