Emmerdale spoilers follow for Thursday’s (September 10) episode that is now available to view on ITVX and YouTube. The episode in question will air on ITV1 on at 8pm.
Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) may have been away from the eponymous Emmerdale village for two decades but her penchant for lying, cheating and stealing appears to be very much intact, as the latest twist confirms.
The much-loved show villain staged her long-awaited comeback to the show last week just days after ex husband Jimmy (Nick Miles) perished in a devastating accident.
What was already proving to be a devastating time for grieving wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) was made ten times worse by the return of Sadie, who claimed that Jimmy had been living a double life with her for three years.
Nicola refused to believe such claims at first but Sadie subsequently shared pictures of her with Jimmy, not to mention detailed information on her ex’s family that she could only have known if she had been in contact with him.
The evidence was hard to ague with and thus Nicola faced the possibility that Sadie might be telling the truth. Viewers, however, know full that Sadie is up to something after a shock twist earlier in the week confirmed that the photographs of her and Jimmy were, in fact, fake.

In the wake of Nicola discovering that Jimmy had sold the haulage company, Sadie played the role of supportive friend to perfection, offering her love rival a Rolex watch belonging to Jimmy to give to Elliot.
Upon learning that Jimmy had remortgaged their home, Nicola went in search of the money from the sale of the haulage company – but thus far she has been unsuccessful in locating it. Sadie, meanwhile, turned her attention to Caleb Miligan (William Ash), urging him to come to her if he figures out where Jimmy may have stashed the cash.
This conversation, plus the one she had with Nicola previously, were overheard by Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), who knew rightly that Sadie had ulterior motives and thus confronted her on the subject.
When quizzed on the ins and outs of her claims about Jimmy’s infidelity, Robert reiterated that the cafe owner would never in a million years cheat on his beloved Nico. And that Sadie, who previously disliked Jimmy, would never rekindle such a romance.
‘People change’, Sadie retorted, to which Robert clapped back with: ‘[Jimmy] had. You haven’t.’
He speculated that Sadie, whose credit card was declined when she went to pay for lunch previously, was scamming Nicola in order to get her hands on Jimmy’s cash because she is broke.
Sadie stopped denying his accusations and was taken aback when Robert, who is keen to get his hands on The Hide, offered to help her locate the cash in exchange for half of it, sealing the deal with a handshake.
Will Sadie and Robert succeed in their alliance? Will they really take Jimmy’s money and leave devastated and grieving Nicola – who is in danger of losing her home – with nothing?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX and YouTube.
