Management Commentary

Richard MacPherson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Birchtech, stated: “Commencing this program reflects the confidence of our Board and management team in the durability of our business and in the value we are building across both of our platforms. With our patent estate now secured, a substantial final judgment that we continue to pursue, and our water business moving from validation toward commercial deployment, we believe returning capital through the repurchase of our common stock at current market pricing may be a prudent use of the balance sheet alongside the investments we are making to scale. With $11.8 million of cash and no debt as of June 30, 2026, we have the capacity to do both, and we intend to act opportunistically and with discipline on behalf of my fellow shareholders.”
