Sunny spells with scattered heavy showers are expected across the country today.
Longer spells of rain have been forecast for the north and east of the country into the afternoon, while parts of the southeast promised to stay fully dry.
Highest temperatures will remain between 14 and 17 degrees, with a brisk wind to move from west to northwest.
The wind will begin to ease this evening and the showers will become more well-scattered, as late sunshine occurs widely.
Largely dry weather is expected for Tuesday night, however, some light showers will fall over the west coast.
Met Éireann expect a drier conditions on Wednesday, with light west to southwest winds.
While the best of the sunny spells will occur across the eastern half of the country early on, overall it will be a cloudy day with spots of drizzle to fall across the west.
Outbreaks of rain across the west and southwest are forecasted for Wednesday night, with lowest temperatures to range between 10 and 14 degrees.
Thursday is expected to be generally dry, however, cloudy outbreaks of rain are to fall across the country, with heavier downpour forecasted for Ulster.
Conditions will improve in the west and southwest as the afternoon progresses, with this clearance to extend across the country into the evening.
Highest temperatures are to range 15 to 19 degrees in a moderate, with occasionally fresh, southerly winds.
