MCDONALD’S is set to open a store in the UK that will allow customers to make their own burgers.
The pop-up shop is the first of its kind for the burger giant and will resemble a traditional butcher’s.
In a bid to draw back the curtain on methods used by the chain, punters will be able to see exactly how the famous restaurant makes its most popular product.
In promotional material announcing The Counter by McDonald’s pop-up in Shoreditch, McDonald’s has said its burgers really are just beef, salt, pepper “and nothing else”.
There will even be masterclasses available in-store offering the opportunity for customers to make their own burgers, which they can then take home with them.
Chefs will also be on hand with cooking tips while McDonald’s merchandise will be on sale at the pop-up.

A statement on The Counter website reads: “Join us in person for The Counter by McDonald’s Masterclass and level up your burger skills!”
The statement adds: “Ever wondered what goes into a McDonald’s beef burger?
“At this free hands-on masterclass, you’ll hear directly from the people behind our ingredients and discover how our beef patties are made using just three simple ingredients: 100% British and Irish beef, salt and pepper.”
There will also be an opportunity for punters to meet McDonald’s experts and farmers.

The Counter by McDonald’s will be based at 149-150 Shoreditch High St in London.
It will be open on September 18 and 19.
