The former Real Madrid man is currently a free agent following his exit from the MLS.

Rodriguez, 35, spent just over THREE MONTHS with Minnesota United before leaving the outfit to prepare for the World Cup.
But his wait to find a new club is said to be on the verge of ending.
That’s according to Marca, who claim the Colombia international is on the brink of joining US Avellino.
Former Everton man Rodriguez is said to be locked in talks with the Serie B side over a move to the Stadio Partenio-Adriano Lombardi.

All that remains now for Rodriguez to join the outfit is for the financial terms to be finalised.
An agreement, however, is said to be “very close”, and his transfer could “soon” be completed.
Rodriguez will be linking up with Champions League and Italian royalty if he joins Avellino.
The Wolves are managed by Italian great Alessandro Nesta, who won the 2006 World Cup with the Azzurri.

Nesta, who has three Scudettos and two Champions League winners’ medals to his name, took charge of Avellino in June, inking a two-year contract with the Campania club.
In an interview with AvLive, Avellino president Angelo D’Agostino said of Nesta’s appointment: “We chose Nesta after a series of evaluations that also included other coaches.
“We all believe this will be his year and Avellino’s year.
“He has an important past as a player and a slightly less prominent one as a coach.

“But I believe the best is still to come and I hope he shows his value at Avellino.
“We want to achieve further success and he will have to be the architect of that.
“I found him modest and calm, in the same vein as Ballardini.
“We will get to know him better with time.”
