A man has been arrested by gardaí following a two-car crash in Galway city that saw one man being taken to the hospital.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to a two-car road traffic collision which occurred on Clybaun Road, Galway city, shortly after 1pm on Monday afternoon, September 7.
One person was brought to University Hospital Galway as a precaution.
Another person was arrested at the scene for the purposes of obtaining an evidential sample, a garda spokesperson said.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana told the Irish Independent: “Gardaí and emergency services responded to a two-car road traffic collision which occurred on Clybaun Road, Galway, shortly after 1pm on September 7, 2026.
“One person was brought to University Hospital Galway as a precaution.
“Another person was arrested at the scene for the purposes of obtaining an evidential sample.”
