There’s a major breakthrough made in the case of Ste Hay’s (Kieron Richardson) disappearance in Hollyoaks next week and it’s all thanks to James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) and Sienna Blake (Anna Passey).

Ste, as viewers know, vanished into the crowd last week while on a trip to a spa day out when he made a stop at a local shopping centre.

The residents of the eponymous village have pulled together in the scenes since, desperate to find out what happened to Ste – and hoping to figure out where he is now.

Fingers were pointed aplenty in the immediate aftermath, with characters such as James and Sienna among those at the top of the list of people suspected to have had something to do with Ste’s vanishing.

James and Sienna, however, are adamant that they would never hurt their beloved Ste.

In fact they’re so adamant of their innocence that they decide to join forces to not only prove it – but to also find out what really happened to the missing local.

Upcoming scenes will see the almighty double act stumble upon a video of Ste and, without wasting a minute, they storm the police station to share their discovery.

Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) is soon on the case and – in addition to the video above – he manages to make a breakthrough of his own, locating and identifying all of the people Ste interacted with in the shopping centre, doing so from CCTV footage.

All the characters in question are officially considered to be suspects.

We see one of the characters lingering in the village – and they’ve got pictures of Ste on their phone.

Back at the station, Dodger confirms that the video brought to his attention of Ste is a fake.

The question is: will Ste be found? And just what happened to him?

Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4’s streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4.
