A NON-LEAGUE goalie could be set to be the safe hands of a royal crown — after being chosen as the next king of a Ugandan kingdom.
George Desmond Kamurasi — who plays in the ninth tier of English football — has been selected by a committee to be the ruler of the Tooro people.
It comes after his cousin, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, 34, died while being treated for cancer.
British national George, 36, known as “Big G”, captains SE Dons in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division.
Video clips show him giving fiery team talks at the club in Bexleyheath, South East London.
But George, who lives with his wife and son, is reported to be reluctant to leave the capital to accept the role.

In Uganda, some are keen on his “no-nonsense” style, while others have questioned how a man brought up in the UK can represent them.
The funeral of King Oyo, who ascended the throne when he was only three in 1995, takes place this weekend.
His royal roots run deep, with his grandfather King George Rukidi III having welcomed the late Queen Elizabeth during her 1954 tour of Uganda.
But there is one final twist, Kamurasi could miss the king’s funeral because it clashes with his football team’s cup fixture.
