It was a day filled with fun, football and community spirit at St James GAA Club recently as the club hosted its family fun day and Mothers & Others blitz, which was an afternoon packed with entertainment and activities.
The Mothers & Others blitz, with teams from St James and neighbouring clubs, took to the field and showed there’s plenty of life left in the legs of the more mature members of the playing community. The emphasis throughout the day was very much on enjoying the occasion.
There was something for everyone throughout the day, with a wide range of family activities and games, along with live music from Luke Whitty.
“The success of the day would simply not have been possible without the tremendous support received from the local community,” said a member from the organising committee, who also thanked those who donated, volunteered, baked and cleaned.
