ARSENAL fans got their own back on Morgan Rogers by serenading him with a brutal chant as he walked off the pitch.

Rogers, 24, was the subject of serious interest from the Gunners during the summer transfer window.

But he ended up joining Chelsea for £117million, and needled Gooners by saying he had signed for “the biggest club in London”.

That clearly did not sit well with Arsenal supporters when the two sides met on Sunday as they belted out a pointed message while Rogers trudged around the perimeter of the pitch after being subbed.

The chant went: “Signed for a big club, you should’ve signed for a big club.”

Rogers even flashed some fans a cheeky smile as he made his way back to the dugouts.

LION RAGE

Declan Rice and Morgan Rogers in furious bust-up during Arsenal vs Chelsea

It is no surprise that Rogers found himself in the firing line after an eventful battle at the Emirates.

The former Aston Villa star volleyed Chelsea ahead in the second minute and stuck his tongue out at a section of Arsenal fans while celebrating.

He also furiously confronted England team-mate Declan Rice after being tripped off the ball in the second half.

But for all of his individual quality and fight, Rogers came out on the losing side.

Kai Havertz starred for Arsenal as they came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to goals from the German and Martin Odegaard.

It is now 12 consecutive head-to-heads without defeat for the Gunners as Mikel Arteta improved his already incredible record against Chelsea.

Rogers said after the game: “We are disappointed. We came here with a job to try and win, and we didn’t manage that.

“But it’s a long season and a tough place to come. They are in a really good moment right now and feeling really good.

“We’re still new, with a new manager, trying to combine our ideas and get better and better. But we know we will.

“We know we’ve got the quality in the room. It’s just about working hard on the training field and putting things right.”
