But the numbers are up, apparently

RTE says that the eyeballs are racking up for this year’s contestants, noting that the first three episodes of series 2 were watched by an ‘average audience of 756,000’ across the platforms, compared to 591,000 for series 1.

They point out that those numbers are correct as of Friday.

The difficult second album?

Initial reviews were pretty mixed for season two after the stonking success of season one. There was lamentation for the absence of Paudie, or a Paudie. Still, it’s early days.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch…

It’s a Sunday school night, and we’ve dispatched all thoughts of summer. The only bright spot has been Katie Taylor’s big win. 
Meanwhile, there have been two murders and two banishments at Traitor HQ in Slane Castle. 

We’ve had three missions. The first two involved what papier mache dolmens (surely coming to a Halloween party near you), some bales of hay and fetching animal masked-musicians. The third one featured coffins. Grim, but you have to admire them for committing to the vibe. 

Emma was dispatched first, chosen by Edelle. Then Edelle was banished, who revealed she was a Traitor. 
Laura, of the pink and orange, who had corrected identified Edelle as a wrong ‘un, was then murdered. And finally, Sean A was banished, mostly for talking too much, but also for a slip of the tongue about Faithfuls. 
Cue weeping and gnashing of teeth when Sean revealed he was a Faithful. 

And so, when we left Episode three there was what passes in this game for a crisis of conscience. Let’s see how long that lasts given the outbreak of bitching and backstabbing. 

Also, we’re about to find out who’s been killed off overnight.
