And Henk Brugge’s side played out a 2-2 draw that promises to be remembered for a very long time.
That is because both of the hosts’ goals were scored by the Dutch shot-stopper in an intense match that saw them playing with ten men for over 70 minutes following the dismissal of Nokkvi Peyr Porisson.
In fact, Koeman Jr proved to be the hero as he picked up Telstar when they were down by two goals.

And he did so by scoring two crucial penalty-kicks, which have proven to be his forte.

The goalie is following in his father’s footsteps albeit in a different position as Koeman Sr is known as one of the best sweepers in the history of the game.

However, the keeper has spent his entire 14-year career playing in the Netherlands for the likes of Almere, TOP Oss and of course Telstar where he has been sine 2021 and counts a total of 164 appearances.
Koeman Jr is one of very few goalkeepers assigned as penalty takers in this day and age.
A number of legends made a name for themselves as the exception to the rule, such as Vincent Enyeama, Hans-Jorg Butt, Jose Luis Chilavert, Rene Higuita and Rogerio Ceni.
Koeman Sr has also made a name for himself as manager working for the likes of Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord, Southampton, Everton, Barcelona and the Netherlands.
