AN ICONIC 95-year-old actress has sparked fears for her health amongst fans after suddenly dropping out of an event.
Barbara Eden, best known for her role in 1960s’ hit I Dream of Jeannie, was scheduled to be taking part in Cinecon Classic Film Festival this weekend – but was forced to cancel last minute.
Event organisers took to social media on Saturday to share that Barbara wouldn’t be in attendance to the event that evening due to ‘sudden illness’.
In a statement, they wrote: “We’re sorry to share that, due to a sudden illness, Barbara Eden will no longer be able to appear in person at Cinecon tonight.
“Barbara is deeply regretful that she had to cancel at the last minute as she had been very much looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating with us.”
The statement continued that whilst she wasn’t able to be there, Barbara would still be honoured at the event – with Pat Boone accepting the event’s Legacy Award on her behalf.

No further details about Barbara’s illness were shared.
Following the announcement, some fans have been left concerned for Barbara’s wellbeing.
One fan wrote underneath the announcement: “Oh no. Hope she’s resting and not ill.”
“I hope that Barbara is okay. She keeps a full schedule that would exhaust someone half her age,” said another.
A third said: “Prayers for Barbara Eden 🙏🏻 we love you!”
