Widely shared video however appears to show she was manhandled by the crowd as she was led out – with footage seeming to show her hair being pulled and he head grabbed.

The woman was one of a number of protesters to be escorted out after heckled Reform UK leader.

West Midlands Police has asked the heckler to contact them as they are investigating the incident – but added that they have not received a formal complaint.

The party’s annual get-together was held at the National Exhibition Centre and saw the Reform leader’s speech disrupted four times.

Demonstrators and hecklers were thrown out each time, with activist group Climate Resistance claiming responsibility.

Reform home affairs spokesman Zia Yusuf condemned any members who pulled the heckler’s hair.

Asked about the incident, the party’s home affairs spokesman told a conference fringe event: “On the question of whether I condemn people punching people, yes, I condemn people punching people.”

Climate Resistance said they were “horrified at the violence” from Reform conference audience members and said the protester is considering whether to come forward to police.
