A Kildare folk band has announced an autumn tour travelling around venues in Ireland and Scotland.
The Druids are hitting the road with their Songs & Stories of Ireland tour, bringing their high-energy live show and storytelling to various venues.
Formed in 2008, The Druids have become an integral part of the Irish folk scene, touring extensively throughout Ireland, the UK, Scotland, Europe and the USA.
Their music brings the stories and history of Ireland to life through passionate vocals, accomplished musicianship and a live performance that is both entertaining and educational.
The band were named Best Live Act at the Irish Folk Music Awards in 2017, alongside a number of other accolades for their contribution to Irish folk music.
The current line-up features founding members Mick O’Brien and Gary Lawlor, alongside Neil Harney and Kevin Rooney, combining strong vocals, traditional instrumentation and captivating stories of Ireland.
The autumn 2026 tour kicks off on September 12 at Grace’s Irish Centre in Glasgow, Scotland, followed by dates in Ireland at Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray, Co Wicklow on September 25, The Moat Theatre, Naas, Co Kildare on November 14, Castle Varagh Hotel, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath on November 21, and finishing up at the Dunamaise Arts Centre in Portlaoise, Co Laois on November 27.
With five albums, international touring experience and a “reputation for captivating audiences”, The Druids promise an evening of songs, stories and Irish history.
