The altercation started when Krystian Bielik was trying to retrieve the ball for a throw-in in front of the home fans.
The former Arsenal youngster ithen appeared to grab the fan by the neck in unsavoury scenes.
The supporter in question was then seen escorted out by stewards shortly alongside his family.
Portsmouth won the game 2-0, making it a doubly poor day for Bielik.
