A Cavan based insulation giant has announced plans to carry out an expansion of its headquarters in Kilnaleck.
Airpacks Ltd have tabled plans with local authority planners to bulldoze an existing sided storage shed by replacing it with a larger two-storey standalone building.
Airpacks Ltd, which trades under the operating name of KORE Insulation, is an award-winning manufacturer, designer and supplier of expanded polystyrene insulation solutions for the Irish and UK markets.
Senior bosses have also included plans to establish an acoustic barrier along the site’s eastern boundary as well as seeking retention extension permission to its existing factory at its southern boundary perimeter.
The move, which is currently being examined by local planners, similarly provides for an extension to the facility’s current permitted operating and working hours.
A final decision is expected to be made before the end of October.
