American singer Alex Warren has had the last laugh after he took a tumble on stage while performing in Melbourne on Friday night.
The Ordinary singer posted a video on social media, which shows him climbing up a barricade to greet fans during the concert at Rod Laver Arena.
Warren successfully jumps down to a small stage platform below, before attempting to clamber down the stairs with a microphone in his hand.
However, he is seen missing his footing on the second step, stacking it down the unstable platforms and appearing to hit his head.
“They told me to break a leg before the show,” Warren hilariously captioned the video.
The footage, posted on social media on Friday night, received thousands of comments, including from Warren’s celebrity friends.
“Brother,” Twilight star Taylor Lautner commented.
“Oh my God,” singer Charlie Puth said.
“How did you do the hard bit then fall at the last hurdle 🙈🙈 hope you’re Ok!,” another person said.
Warren has been making the most of his time in Australia during his Finding Family On The Road tour — he filmed a video with wildlife warrior Robert Irwin during a visit to Australia Zoo.
The singer is pictured walking alongside Robert in slow motion, participating in the “Ain’t in LA” trend: ‘(Can’t) always be in LA, someone’s gotta hold it down in Australia,” the video is captioned.
“I felt so cool filming this,” Warren said.
Warren will be performing in Melbourne on Saturday and Sunday, Adelaide on Wednesday, and Perth next Saturday.
