TOTTENHAM have ditched luxury TOLIETRIES from their opposition dressing room in Roberto De Zerbi’s bid to change the club’s mentality.
The Spurs boss and the club’s hierarchy are understood to believe opponents have been treating their world-class stadium like a pleasant day out rather than an intimidating football ground.

And that has led to a bizarre overhaul of the away dressing room at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – with Molton Brown products now BANNED.
A video posted on X by a fan showed all the central tables have been removed from the room to leave one cavernous open space, while the walls have been painted badly and shower products have also been taken away.
A source told The Times: “No more Molton Brown handwash and body lotion.”
Tottenham have had a long-standing relationship with Molton Brown, which was previously the club’s official supplier of toiletries, including products used at the stadium and training centre.

But the changes are symbolic of the much bigger cultural reset being attempted by De Zerbi after he took charge in March.
The Italian has made it clear that he wants players who are completely committed to Tottenham and has been prepared to let even established stars leave if they want a fresh challenge.
When De Zerbi first arrived he held individual meetings with his players to discuss their futures The Sun was told.
Among those who told him they wanted to leave in the summer were captain Cristian Romero and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

De Zerbi’s response was simple: help him keep Tottenham in the Premier League and then he would help them leave.
He later explained that he did not want to force anyone to stay, regardless of their status or importance to the team.
Romero eventually left for Atletico Madrid, while Vicario joined Juventus on loan, with De Zerbi insisting he respected their decisions.
Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic were also allowed to depart, while Kevin Danso’s request to leave came as recently as last week after he was left out of the Carabao Cup squad.

Even then, Spurs granted his wish, with Danso joining Sunderland on loan.
That ruthless approach is at the heart of De Zerbi’s attempt to change Tottenham’s mentality after back-to-back 17th-place Premier League finishes.
The club have backed him with an extraordinary summer rebuild, spending around £400million on a squad overhaul, with the final figure potentially rising further through add-ons.
And the new arrivals have not simply been chosen for their footballing ability.

Tottenham have deliberately targeted players with experience, leadership qualities and reputations for having the right mentality to help transform the culture inside the dressing room.
Sandro Tonali arrived from Newcastle in a club-record deal, while Mateus Fernandes, Savio and Jan Paul van Hecke were among the other major additions.
Experienced campaigners including Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi were also brought in, while Omar Marmoush arrived from Manchester City on loan.
And deadline day saw Spurs make two more moves designed to strengthen the squad, signing Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo permanently and bringing in Mykhailo Mudryk on loan.

Tosin is particularly interesting because he fits the profile Tottenham appear to be targeting, a player regarded as a strong team man, with leadership experience and a willingness to embrace the standards demanded by his new manager.
The defender himself stressed the importance of mentality when he arrived, saying he wanted to bring the right attitude to training every day and help push Tottenham towards where they “deserve to be”.

But despite the huge investment and sweeping changes, De Zerbi’s new-look Tottenham have endured a nightmare start to the Premier League season.
Spurs lost their opening two matches against Brentford and Newcastle, leaving the Italian with plenty of work to do to turn the club’s new mentality into results.
