A man in his 20s has been conveyed to hospital as a precaution after a crash in Clare.
The incident took place at the Drumgeely Roundabout in Shannon on Friday, September 4, at approximately 9am.
Whilst no serious injuries have been reported, the male driver of a car involved in the crash has been conveyed to hospital as a precaution.
It is understood that two cars were involved in the Friday morning collision.
Members of An Garda Síochána responded to the incident, alongside units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics from the National Ambulance Service.
“Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision that occurred at the Drumgeely Roundabout, Shannon, County Clare, this Friday, September 4, 2026, at approximately 9am,” a garda spokesperson told the Irish Independent.
“A male driver in his 20s was conveyed to hospital as a precaution. No injuries have been reported at this time.”
It is understood that the road was closed while emergency services personnel attended the scene but was safely reopened by 11am.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
