An upcoming event in New Ross Library, where best-selling author, Katríona O’Sullivan will be in conversation with author Tina O’Callaghan, is almost at full capacity as nearly all 40 available seats are booked.

According to the staff at New Ross Library, “it’s looking like it might be one of the most popular talks of the year”.

Ms O’Sullivan will be engaging in conversation about her latest book, Hungry: A Biography of My Body, on Tuesday, October 6, at 7pm.

Dr Katríona O’Sullivan is a professor of psychology, an acclaimed speaker, and in her powerful new memoir she turns her attention to themes of identity, body image, self-worth, and resilience.

“This promises to be a fascinating evening with one of Ireland’s most compelling contemporary voices. It will certainly be a thought-provoking discussion,” the Library staff added.

Ms O’Sullivan’s first memoir, Poor, earned the titles of Biography of the Year and Newcomer of the Year at the Irish Book Awards. The memoir has since been translated into multiple languages and adapted for the stage at Dublin’s Gate Theatre.

The latest book will be available to purchase on the night, and Ms O’Sullivan will be signing copies.
