THIS is the shocking moment a boy racer smashes into a front garden – seconds after seriously injuring a pensioner in a horror crash.
Mohammed Khan, 18, crashed his Volkswagen Golf into 74-year-old Peter Jeffree’s stationary car in Watford, Hertfordshire.

Doorbell camera footage shows the Golf zooming at double the speed limit along Stratford Way before carelessly overtaking a red Mazda.
Seconds later, a loud bang rings out across the residential road as Khan’s car collides with Mr Jeffree’s yellow Reliant Scimitar GTE.
Further footage then captures his Golf smashing into another car in someone else’s front garden.
Mr Jeffree suffered three fractured vertebrae, cracked ribs and a cracked sternum during the horror.

The high-speed smash also left his classic car that he had owned for more than 40 years “completely destroyed”.
He fumed: “If my wife had been in the passenger seat and they had hit me in the middle of the car, we both could have been killed.”
A court heard Khan, who had three friends in his car, was speeding at around 60mph on a 30mph road.
He had overtaken another car at speed before he “shot across the junction without any hesitation” and crashed into Mr Jeffree’s car.

Khan, aged 17 at the time of the crash but now 18, was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court last Friday.
Prosecutor Nadine Mathurasangh told an earlier hearing: “At around 2pm, the defendant was driving a red Volkswagen vehicle on Stratford Way.
“He was seen to be driving at excessive speed.
“This was a 30mph zone and we’ve got a witness who says the approximate speed driven by the defendant was 60 to 70mph.”
As Khan approached the junction with Cassiobury Drive he performed a dangerous overtake of a red Mazda on the offside, the court heard.
The lady driving the Mazda said Khan’s vehicle then “shot across the junction without any hesitation” and smashed into Mr Jeffree’s car.
Both vehicles were sent spinning following the initial impact.
Khan’s car ended up on somebody’s front garden while Mr Jeffree’s came to a rest in the road.
Defending, Amita Patel said her client was remorseful and had written a “heartfelt” letter of apology to Mr Jeffree.
In the letter, Khan wrote: “Since the accident I have thought about it a lot.
“I genuinely wish I could change what happened.”
He pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
A sentence of 19 months at a Young Offenders’ Institution (YOI) was suspended for three years.

He was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work and 15 days of rehabilitation activities.
Khan was also given a three-year driving ban and must now pass an extended retest before he can drive again.
