Visitors took to the Woodstock Gardens in Inistioge for the annual Woodland Show experience which was attended by carvers, archers and craftspeople from all over the world for the two-day event.
The Celtic Chainsaw Carvers were very popular among the crowd, turning lengths of timber into unique and fascinating sculptures. The ten master carvers also thrilled the crowd with speed carving competitions and various creations. Despite the heavy rainfall, crowds flocked to the demonstration area to see the Saw Millers Guild, South East Chapter of the Wood Turners Guild, and craftsmen Eoin Reardon, Jack Pilson and Micheal Potterton.
The Craft Village had a range of crafts and demonstrations along with specialist plant stands, while the Tented Village featured talks and walks. At The Carnival area, family activities included arts and crafts, scouting skills with Inistioge Scouts, archery with Dunbrody Archers and Arrows Away Experience, Reptile Zoo, forest schools, WACT Youth Theatre Workshop and food stalls.
New Ross musicians, singer-songwriter, Hugh Miller, and The Nomads, took to the stage on Saturday, while Sunday’s performance was by the Waterford Choir Group, followed by the Rower’s Nothing’s Perfect.
