If you’ve spent more than 10 seconds on Instagram or found yourself doom-scrolling BeautyTok before bed, you’ll know that Huda Beauty has a loyal following for a reason. From aspiring makeup artists to seasoned beauty editors, the brand has built a reputation for creating products that beauty lovers genuinely rave about.
And, frankly, founder Huda Kattan rarely misses when it comes to creating products that get the beauty world talking.
So, when I heard about the new Ultra Snatched collection, I was intrigued.
The launch sees Huda Beauty’s cult Easy Bake family welcome new pink and lilac-toned powders designed to brighten, lift and blur the complexion. According to the brand, pink brightens, lilac lifts, and together they create the ‘Ultra Snatched’ effect, with the powders available in both Easy Bake Duo and Easy Bake Pressed formats. The loose powder duos feature two shades that can be used separately or mixed together, promising up to 18 hours of wear and an airbrushed finish.

The shade I tested was the Ultra Snatched Easy Bake Duo (£34) in Cherry Lilac, a pairing of Cherry Blossom Cake, a soft pink, and Lilac Muffin, a cool-toned lilac created specifically for this collection.
I won’t lie: coloured setting powders have always felt slightly intimidating to me. As someone who usually gravitates towards neutral-toned makeup, the idea of applying pink and purple powder underneath my eyes sounded like a recipe for disaster.
Reader, I was wrong.
As soon as I applied a touch beneath my eyes, the effect was immediate. My under-eye area looked brighter, smoother and noticeably more awake. The powder somehow managed to disguise the fact I’d definitely not enjoyed a full eight hours of sleep the night before, while creating that soft-focus finish that beauty brands often promise but don’t always deliver.
Even better? The powder didn’t need a single touch-up under my eyes all day and was still going strong well into the evening.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never considered myself the typical Huda Beauty customer. The brand has always felt geared towards a far more glam makeup lover than me. That said, this powder, along with several other Huda products I’ve tried over the years, has seriously impressed me.
A little goes a very long way, making the compact excellent value for money, and it’s incredibly versatile too. You can apply it with a powder puff if you’re after maximum brightness, sweep it on with a fluffy brush for a more natural finish, or press it in with a slightly damp beauty blender depending on your preferred look.
What I particularly loved was that it managed to mattify without flattening my complexion. My skin still looked like skin, just smoother, fresher and more polished. It never veered into cakey territory either, something the brand specifically claims to have addressed with the formula. In consumer testing, 98% agreed the pressed powder didn’t look cakey and felt lightweight on the skin
And honestly? I love this product.
I genuinely didn’t think I’d become a convert to coloured setting powder, but this one has worked some kind of beauty magic. Not only has it earned a permanent place in my makeup bag, but it’s completely changed how I think about brightening powders too.
If you’re curious about the pink-and-lilac powder trend but not quite ready to dive headfirst into full glam territory, consider this your sign. Huda Beauty may have created the Ultra Snatched collection for the beauty maximalists, but this beauty editor is completely sold.
