CHANNEL 4 is set to premiere an intense reality series that would see people try to survive apocalyptic conditions.
Beginning on September 13, the new series is called Apocalypse and will include 14 contestants ranging from a London black cabbie to a Paralympian gold medallist, a beef farmer and even a politician.

Hailing from the UK and Australia, the contestants will be dropped into an abandoned town in two groups, but without knowing the other is there.
They will not have electricity, running water or food, and will have to scavenge and get creative with anything they can find to survive.
The two rival camps are Eastside and Westside and the drama will kick off early in the series when Eastside is first to break into the town’s only supermarket and loot it for good.

One of the players is Made In Chelsea star Freddie Brown, who has years of hunting experience.

“I entered the apocalypse off the back of two gin and tonics, and it was the best decision I ever made,” Freddie joked.
“I needed to prove that I didn’t need my air fryer or Mountain Pine Bath Essence. I was right, but I did miss them.”
Another big star competing on Apocalypse is comedian Steven McKell who has 4.7 million views on TikTok.
“I really wanted to challenge myself in a way that I’d never done before. I also wanted to take part because it sounded wild,” he said.

“Being stuck in an abandoned city for 28 days with no food, no water, no running electricity, I thought, ‘You know what? I can do that’.”
Athlete and power lift Kelly Cartwright, has won two Paralympic medals for Australia and in 2009 climbed Mt Kilimanjaro.
“I just love pushing myself past what I think I’m capable of. I guess I like proving myself wrong, and I love adventure,” she said of joining Apocalypse.
Other contestants include a psychologist self-described as a glamorous city girl with no practical skills, a student nurse, chef and mechanic.
Apocalypse starts on September 13 on Channel 4.
