Original Aardman puppets including Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Morph are to go to auction.
The auction will feature more than 220 lots to celebrate Aardman’s 50th anniversary with each starting at £100.
Puppets of Wallace, his dog Gromit and villain Feathers McGraw, used in their latest adventure Vengeance Most Fowl (2024), will be included in the sale, along with a Shaun puppet from the upcoming film Shaun The Sheep: The Beast Of Mossy Bottom.
Ngaio Harding-Hill, Aardman’s director of attractions, live experiences and archive, said: “The Aardman 50th anniversary auction is an unprecedented opportunity to own a part of the studio’s 50-year history.

“The collection has been carefully curated by the studio’s creative talent and includes contributions, such as an original Nick Park sketch, produced in celebration of this unique moment to connect with our fans.”
Morph and his friend Chas, made by Aardman co-founder Peter Lord, are also on offer. They appeared in art programmes such as Take Hart, Hartbeat and SMart, first featuring on screen in 1977.

“The collection traces Aardman’s remarkable creative history, from original Morph and Chas models made by Peter Lord to instantly recognisable characters including Wallace, Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Feathers McGraw.

“These puppets hold a special place in the hearts of generations of fans, and with every lot starting at £100, we’re excited to offer collectors around the world the chance to own a piece of Aardman history.”
Bidding begins on September 4, ahead of the auction’s conclusion on September 24 with a live event open to online, absentee and telephone bidding around the world.
Proceeds from the auction will be invested in talent development initiatives at Aardman, including bursaries at its training facility, the Aardman Academy, skills development programmes, and opportunities for emerging filmmakers.
