THE Gentlemen is spreading its criminal empire far beyond the gates of Halstead Manor for Season 2.
While the show’s grand English estates remain, the action now stretches from Wiltshire to the shores of Italy’s Lake Maggiore.
Guy Ritchie‘s gangster comedy-drama returns on September 3, with Theo James and Kaya Scodelario back as unlikely business partners Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass.
Love Island host Maya Jama joins the cast for series 2, but Netflix has kept details about her character under wraps.
Downton Abbey‘s Hugh Bonneville arrives as a politician, and boxer Chris Eubank Jr. also makes an appearance.

The second instalment of The Gentlemen was shot across England and northern Italy, with the production using real stately homes, churches, airfields, and hotels.
Badminton House in Gloucestershire returns as the exterior of the fictional Halstead Manor, Eddie’s sprawling ancestral home.
The Grade I-listed estate has also appeared in Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte, and Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials.

Ritchie also opened up his own Wiltshire estate, Ashcombe House, for filming.
Its grounds and lake appear during a hunting party in the opening episode.
The director’s private airfield in Wiltshire was used for scenes involving planes.
White Waltham Airfield in Berkshire also provided hangars for parts of Eddie and Susie’s expanding cannabis operation.
The interior of the cannabis farm was shot in a studio set made from shipping containers.
Elsewhere, Swakeleys House in Ickenham, west London, doubles as St. Bartholomew’s rehab centre, where Eddie’s troubled brother Freddy is staying.
Salisbury Cathedral features when Eddie meets returning villain Stanley Johnston, played by Giancarlo Esposito.
And despite a storyline taking Susie all the way to Peru, the production crew didn’t travel quite so far.
West London and a country estate near Guildford were used to stand in for the South American nation.
Where in Italy was The Gentlemen Season 2 filmed?
In summer 2025, Italian filming took place around Lake Maggiore in Piedmont, including Verbania, Pallanza, Intra, and Stresa.
Ritchie said: “This chapter sees a deliberate expansion, both geographically and thematically, as we journey from the English countryside to the Italian lakes.
“Eddie and Susie find themselves navigating an increasingly volatile empire as they’re besieged on all fronts by an influx of enigmatic new players.”
Villa Rusconi-Clerici became one of the key locations, with a temporary pier allowing characters to arrive on the lake by speedboat.
The Grand Hotel Majestic in Pallanza was used for hotel and wedding scenes, while nearby Chiesa di San Leonardo hosted the ceremony itself.
Piazza Garibaldi was also among the confirmed locations.

Production designer Martyn John said the team needed a villa, church, village, town square and hotel close together because it had only two weeks to complete the Italian shoot.
The third series of The Gentlemen is expected to begin shooting at the Badminton Estate, which backs on to the King’s Highgrove Estate in Gloucestershire, later this year.
