“The castle lies about two miles north west of the Royal Burgh of Inverbervie in a private and peaceful setting above a bend in the Bervie Water.
“The castle is remarkable and unusual for its intricate label mouldings supporting the turreted spiral staircases.
“The property offers elegant reception rooms, coach house with potential, walled garden and about three acres.
“Allardice Castle was the chief seat of the Barons of Allardice, an ancient family who first appeared in an 1197 charter.
“The castle dates from around 1542 with many alterations and changes made over the years.”
