A POPULAR Nougties indie band has cancelled a gig just days before being due on stage – and issued a cryptic message to fans.
Formed in 2005, rock band The Fratellis comprises Jon Fratelli, Baz Fratelli and Mince Fratelli – which are all pseudonyms.

The Glaswegian band’s members real names are John Lawler, Barry Wallace and Gordon McRory respectively.
Taking to Instagram, the group’s latest post revealed a gig scheduled for Friday (September 4) would no longer be going ahead.
The caption read: “It is with regret that The Fratellis forthcoming performance at Helix Park, Falkirk on Friday 4th September has now been cancelled.
“Unfortunately the promoters have been unable to fulfill their commitments to the band to perform and they have had to therefore take the decision not to appear at the event.”

Earlier this year, the Chelsea Dagger group cancelled their 20th anniversary tour amid frontman Jon’s ongoing health issues.
The Fratellis had been due to play their breakthrough Costello Music album in full on a sold out 17-date tour.

They posted on social media at the time: “Unfortunately, Jon is unable to perform right now due to ongoing health issues.
“With the tour so close it breaks our music hearts to take this decision but in light of medical advice that Jon takes time to recover it’s the only sensible option.”
