A LUXURY British carmaker is making a triumphant return after plunging into administration 15 years ago.
The re-emergence of the brand will see five new cars built ahead of its 80th anniversary.
Bristol Cars, has unveiled the long-awaited “Fighter” model after over a decade out of production.
The motor, debuted at the Salon Privé car show at Blenheim Palace today (2 September), comes in partnership with an unnamed UK manufacturer.
Four more Fighter models are set to be built as part of the relaunch, with the cars using the incomplete chassis from the original production.
The motor was originally launched in 2004 as a luxury Gran Turismo, with the 210mph car built in small numbers until 2011.

Originally costing £235,000, only 13 cars are thought to have been registered during its initial production.
When launched, the five new models are expected to wear a period-correct 2008 numberplate.
The interior and exterior of the four remaining cars will be designed based on the owners’ specifications, alongside the choice of a right or left-hand drive.
A Bristol Cars spokesperson said: “Confirming these last five Fighter chassis and build slots exist, with one already completed, represents more than the revival of a model.

“It completes a programme left unfinished when manufacturing ended, reconnects Bristol Cars with a tangible part of its history and establishes the first chapter in the marque’s return.”
Bristol Cars, originally founded as an aeroplane manufacturer, plunged into administration back in 2011 after over six decades of car building.
The firm was known to hand-build cars at its factory in Filton, north of Bristol, from 1946, displaying the motors at a single showroom in London.
Bristol Cars has confirmed that the motors can be exported to major markets, and the pricing of the Fighter will be confirmed with application.
