A British woman who was stabbed to death at a railway station in Germany has been identified as a young pub landlady from Buckinghamshire.
Rebecca Bullock, known to her friends and family as Becca, suffered fatal stab wounds in a knife attack in Rosenheim, Bavaria, at 12.50am on Sunday.
The 31-year-old, who is believed to have been visiting a friend in Austria, was rushed to hospital but later died from her injuries.
A 27-year-old German man of no fixed address was arrested near the scene.
Appearing in court yesterday, the man was ordered to be taken to a psychiatric hospital as police enquiries continue.
Becca has been described as a “kind”, “positive” and “caring” young woman who was beloved by regulars of the White Swan pub in Whitchurch.
Commenting on the news, the team at the pub issued the following statement: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we are having to write this. We are so deeply sorry to say that our beloved Becca passed away over the weekend whilst away on holiday.
“All our thoughts and condolences are with her family at this time.
“Becca was much loved by all of the team at the White Swan and our amazing locals.

“At this time, we will not be saying any more, out of respect for Becca’s family. The pub will be closed today and tomorrow, and we will update you all in due course.
“Our priority at this time whilst we try, and comprehend this tragedy is Becca’s family and our team.”
Local residents were quick to comment on the post and offer their condolences, as they spoke of their shock.
“She was such a kind and positive lady who always made us feel so welcome at the Pub,” one person wrote.
“Becca really was so lovely. Our family and friends are so grateful to Becca for the massive support and effort she put in the last two years for Mara at the pub, fundraising for Mara’s Journey – Mara’s Music Festival,” another person wrote.

“Becca was such a kind soul and so lovely. She will be missed by friends and the great community Becca helped to create at The White Swan.”
One local resident revealed he had seen Becca on Saturday afternoon, just hours before she set off on her journey to Austria.
Richard Shuffill, 82, vice-chairman of the parish council in the village, described Becca as “like a breath of fresh air” at the pub.
“It was impossible not to like her,” he told The Sun. “She was always pleasant and friendly. No one can believe what’s happened and she will be terribly missed.”
According to Becca’s social media profile, she was a keen horsewoman who raised funds for the Ukrainian refugee appeal, and participated in the TCS London Marathon back in 2022.
Rosenheim is one of the largest cities in Upper Bavaria acting as a link for passengers travelling to Austrian cities including Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck.
