A call to action to support Big Beach Clean 2026 and help the RHKEG and Clean Coast volunteers do litter sweeps along our local beaches. Our Beach Clean will take place on Saturday 19th September. Please meet in the carpark at the Church at 10am.

6th Wexford Tuskar Sea Scouts

Important date for your diary: Our AGM will take place on Wednesday, 2nd September at 7pm in the Bank Community & Enterprise Hub. If you would like to register your child for Scouts (12–15 years), Cubs (9–12 years) or Beavers (6–8 years) then please come along on Wednesday evening. Cubs and Beavers who are already part of the Group do not need to re-register.

Ballycogley Players Drama Group

The cast of our full length circuit play for 2027 “Not Now Darling” by Ray Cooney & John Chapman has been announced as follows: Arnold Crouch–Sean Carthy, Gilbert Bodley–Edward Hayden, Maude Bodley–Siobhan Murphy, Miss Tippdale–Amanda Farley, Jane McMichael–Trish Boyce, Harry McMichael–Chris Maddock, Mrs Frencham–Catherine Murphy, Commander Frencham–Michael Gilbert, Sue Lawson–Amy Cassidy & Mr Lawson–Harrison Rossiter McGuire. Thanks to all those who auditioned for the play and we wish director, Fr Pat Mernagh and his cast & crew the very best over the next few months.

We are delighted to let you know that Ballycogley Players have formed a Youth Theatre and are now calling all secondary school students…unleash your creativity, collaboration and stagecraft skills at our workshops all about fun and imagination. Opportunities to learn onstage and behind the scenes techniques, all the learning will go towards staging a short performance as part of the groups autumn schedule. Kilrane Rosslare Harbour ICA

Monthly meetings of Kilrane/Rosslare Hbr. ICA meetings will resume on Tuesday 1st. Sept in The Bank Hub in Rosslare Harbour at 7.30pm.

We will have our usual ICA meeting and the topic for after the formal meeting is Gardening–How to protect your garden from drought conditions and advice on what to plant now for spring colour.

Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm. We are meeting in the Bank Hub–Rosslare Harbour until the works are finished in the Kilrane Community Centre. We welcome all our regulars and would be delighted to welcome new members.

RNLI news

The Rosslare Harbour RNLI extends its deepest sympathy to Claire O’Rourke following the death of her precious Mother, Mary O’Brien. Claire’s husband Eamonn is Coxswain of the Rosslare Hbr Lifeboat. On behalf of the crew and all the operation team, we offer our sincere condolences to the family. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

120 Years of Rosslare to Fishguard service

Due to popular demand, the Rosslare Maritime Heritage Centre is delighted to extend the exciting exhibition on 120 Years of Rosslare to Fishguard Ferry Service for a further week. The exhibition will continue daily through to Sunday 6th September. Opening hours from 2pm–7pm.

With over 900 visitors to date, visitors have come from far and wide and they have not been disappointed. A wonderful collection of memorabilia, photographs and stories. An invaluable visual record of 120 Years of the Rosslare to Fishguard route.

Rosslare Community & Sports Centre

Membership 2026 – We hope that all of our young friends have settled into their new classrooms. The centre is open until 9pm every night, with our earlier weekend closing times shortly; plenty of time to get in a game of tennis, padel or a quick round of crazy golf.

A number of our regular Autumn groups are returning to the Centre, including sewing classes with Noeleen, Judo with Fabiola, Lisa’s Shine Bright Drama groups to name but a few. Keep an eye on our social media or contact the Centre for details. If you’re looking for a birthday party venue, meeting or other event, our indoor facilities might be the answer!

The Fort Room can hold up to 40 people and offers wifi, presentation facilities, ample power sockets and easy access to kitchen facilities. Our newest facility, The Grove Room, is available to hire for smaller groups, meetings and events, offering dedicated bathroom and kitchen facilities. Badminton Club – Join our friendly group at Rosslare Community Centre on Wednesdays from 7.30 to 9pm and Saturdays from 11am to 12.30pm. €3 per person per session. For more information contact Isabel on 087 9192550.

Walking Soccer – A friendly group activity, get fit at a pace to suit you – with the equally important refreshments available afterwards. Every Tuesday at 11am at Rosslare Community Centre. For more information text Yvonne on 085 2309233.

Rosslare Active Retirement Association

While we enjoy our coffee mornings each week we also look forward to our outings.

Dancing at Camross

The September dance will be held on Friday 4th September, with dancing from 9pm until late. The very popular Andy Feery will provide the music. Admission €10 including The Tea. Come along and enjoy a great social night out.

Tuesday: Day Centre for the elderly and Bingo from 7pm Wednesday: Day Centre for the elderly, Forever Fitness classes from 2.15pm, Kids Martial Arts from 6pm, and Pilates from 7.30pm

Friday: Yoga from 10am, Dancing with Declan from 7pm We also have Hidden Treasures Charity Shop open from 9am-4.30pm Monday-Thursday. 9am-3.30 Friday, and 10am-2pm Saturday. We will also have Chair Yoga and Line Dancing returning in September.
