An investigation has been launched after two employees were assaulted during a robbery at a filling station in County Donegal.
Gardaí responded to a report of a robbery at a filling station in Bridgend, Co Donegal, at around 9.10pm on Monday, August 31, 2026.
According to gardaí, two males entered the premises and took a number of items.
Two employees were assaulted, one of whom attended Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Derry, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí said the investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed this incident is urged to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson said, “Gardaí are seeking witnesses in connection with an assault incident that occurred at a filling station in Bridgend on the night of Monday, August 31 at approximately 9.10pm.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have travelled in the area of Bridgend village or along the Derry/Bridgend road between 8.45pm and 9.30pm last night with a dash-cam to make the footage available to Gardaí.
