Barcelona sign Gabriel Jesus for £9m
Gabriel Jesus has completed his move from Arsenal to Barcelona in a deal worth about £9m. It’s a fantastic move for the Brazilian, who had declined in importance at Arsenal after a succession of serious injuries.
Arsenal would have hoped for a higher fee for a player of his reputation but his enormous salary, believed to have been worth about £250,000 a week, was always going to be problematic as they looked for buyers.

Today 11:21 AMAidan O’DohertyFabio Vieira (remember him?) has completed his move from Arsenal to Hamburg, in a deal believed to be worth around £9m. The Portuguese midfielder has never cut it in the Premier League and it is no surprise that Arsenal have cashed in. They paid more than £30m to sign him from Porto in 2022, but he has never come close to justifying the fee. In truth, it’s one of their worst transfers under Mikel Arteta.
