A woman whose husband died on 9/11 received rapturous applause as she accused former presidents of ‘betrayal’ and ‘lying’ during a memorial today.

Survivors and loved ones of victims gathered at the Ground Zero NYC memorial to remember those who died and the devastation caused 25 years ago.

Among attendees were New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and Vice President JD Vance, while President Donald Trump spoke from Washington, DC.

Terry Strada delivered a powerful speech to the crowd, paying tribute to her late husband, Tom Strada, whose third child was just four days old when his father died in 2001.

During her address, she declared that victims’ families still have not received ‘justice’, confronting former presidents George Bush, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden and calling for Trump to help make a ‘change’ while he can.

As the likes of Vance and Bill Clinton sat feet away, she honoured her late husband, who is ‘missed more with each year that passes’.

‘But how can it be 25 years, and still, we have no justice for the role that Saudi Arabia played in your murder?’, she asked, applause rippling through the crowd of spectators.

‘Yes, we finally made it into a court and have proved that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia fomented a rancid culture of anti-American terrorism around the globe and then sent its agents to support the radical Islamic hijackers so they could attack you and all of our loved ones.’

Terry continued: ‘For 25 years, administration after administration, including leaders in front of us here today, chose to protect the Saudis instead of standing with the 9/11 families.’

‘They withheld evidence, broke promises, both public and private. It has been one betrayal after another,’ she stated.

She insisted that ‘President Trump can still change that’, imploring him to ‘tell the Saudis to stop lying’ and ‘tell them that, if they want to be friends with the USA, they cannot continue to deny all of this, all of the pain, all of the destruction, that we have all been suffering through’.

Terry thanked Vance for ‘being here today’ as she asked him to ‘carry that message back’ and ‘stand with the families, survivors, and Americans’.

‘As my husband, Tom, would’ve said, that is always the right thing to do.’

Her demands come as relatives of the nearly 3,000 9/11 victims put pressure on Trump, who attended a separate memorial at the Pentagon, to declassify records related to Saudi Arabia’s possible involvement.

Over the years, there have been partial declassifications, but the Trump administration is being pressed to release more records the families believe will provide ‘resolution’.

Trump has repeatedly called for government transparency and signed executive orders to declassify several sets of government secrets, including files on historical assassinations, aviation, and security intelligence.

In 2021, under Biden, a 16-page FBI report from 2016 was declassified, detailing investigations into the alleged support a Saudi consular official and an alleged Saudi intelligence agent provided to at least two 9/11 hijackers.

However, the files contained extensive redacted paragraphs, with families of 9/11 victims long seeking their full publication.

This would include phone records allegedly belonging to Omar al-Bayoumi, a Saudi national identified as an agent of Saudi intelligence by the FBI in 2022. He always denied being an extremist and a Saudi.

A relative of victim Lisa Marie Terry also said today: ‘For 25 years, the state’s underbelly has hidden the truth about what happened that day 25 years ago.

‘President Trump, you are our last hope. Publish the uncensored files implicating Saudi Arabia while there are family members of the victims who can see it.’

Saudi Arabia continues to strongly deny any institutional or official involvement in the 9/11 terror attacks.

Meanwhile, for years, 9/11 victims’ relatives have been pursuing accountability via civil lawsuits, which attorneys for Saudi Arabia have denied the merits of.

On October 7, for the first time, a sovereign nation will appear before a US Court of Appeals panel to hear arguments relating to a multi-billion-dollar suit brought by the families and survivors against Saudi Arabia.
