Peter Andre’s quick thinking managed to save his young daughter from a very nasty accident.

Of course, Peter is a dad to 19-year-old Princess and 21-year-old Junior from his famously public marriage to ex-wife Katie Price, 48.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 53, remarried in 2015 and now has three more children with his wife, Emily, 37, including two-year-old daughter Arabella Rose.

Taking to Instagram this weekend, the Australian pop star shared a clip from a nail-biting moment in which toddler Belle narrowly avoided an injury.

Sitting in the garden on their outdoor furniture, the little one slid face-first off a sunlounger cushion and went zooming down to the patio.

Thankfully, dad Peter swiftly came to the rescue and caught her before she could hit her face.

He then removed the cushion from the couch, hopefully preventing any further incidents!

Alongside the footage, Peter wrote: ‘Emily caught this on our cctv today. Now that was a close call.’

‘Literally seconds from potential disaster,’ he added. ‘Unlocked a reflex I never knew I had 😂😅.’

Peter and Emily welcomed Belle in April 2024, making her the youngest of their brood, which also includes Amelia (known as Millie), born in January 2014, and Theo, born in November 2016.

While his children with second wife and NHS doctor Emily are typically kept away from the limelight, Peter’s eldest offspring have very much followed in his showbiz footsteps.

Junior has forged his own music career, while Princess has created a beauty line and dabbles in modelling and influencing, even fronting her own ITV fly-on-the-wall show, The Princess Diaries, which features her family.

In the recent third season, both her mum and dad were included for the first time after Katie previously alleged that she had been ‘banned’ from filming.

Sweet moments showed Princess and Junior celebrating Katie’s birthday with her and also revealing the matching tattoos they got for their dad.

Katie and Peter were married from 2005 to 2009, having met with the world watching on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

There was plenty of mud-slinging and public swipes taken in the aftermath of their messy split, but they finally called a truce in February, shocking everyone with a joint statement about ‘moving forward’.

Shared on social media, the post began: ‘Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect.

‘We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.’

It continued: ‘We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward. This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability.’

They concluded that they ‘want to stand united for [their] children’, hoping to now start ‘a positive relationship’.

Not long after the statement was posted, Peter chimed in on Katie’s new whirlwind marriage to Lee Andrews, which recently ended after she uncovered the extent of his lies and secrets as he remains in Dubai prison.

Asked by The Sun what he thought of Katie’s fourth hubby in April, he replied: ‘So my thing to Kate is, “Are you genuinely happy?” And if you are, then that’s great.’

‘Who am I to tell someone what they should or shouldn’t be doing,’ Peter added. ‘Or even giving an opinion about it?’

‘I want her to be happy,’ he stated.

Still, he chose not to take part in Katie’s recent Sky docu-series, which chronicled her life from childhood to tabloid stardom and all the drama that came with it – including in her relationships.

While Princess and Junior did decide to be interviewed after initial doubts, Peter declined.

Instead, a statement on his behalf appeared on the screen, reading: ‘I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess.

‘Today, Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future.’

Katie spoke at length about her time with Peter during the doc, from their glitzy wedding to their divorce.

The former glamour model told cameras that she’s ‘never sat down with Pete from the moment [they] split,’ admitting that their lack of communication was, ultimately, their downfall.

‘From people looking in, we were this perfect couple, but there were things that weren’t right as well. It’s all about communication, and we didn’t communicate.

‘But we could have worked through it, looking back. You can’t turn back the clocks now. It’s weird.’

She then confessed that it ‘eats her up’ how she and Peter never got to talk things through after separating, saying she was ‘heartbroken’.

‘That’s had an impact on me for the rest of what, 20 years, on my mental health, everything. That was… wow. Big impact.’
